We gave the world's oldest digital library a new look.
Inspired by the architectural styles of old world libraries, we brought the new identity to life with modern geometric linework, and a calligraphic, sans-serif typeface. We leveraged Project Gutenberg's existing visual library, repurposing book covers as key images within our layouts, and framing old stories in a fresh way. To reach out-of-home readers, we took our message to the streets — using playfully bookish headlines and branded merch to usher in a new age of online reading.
